consultation agreement
1. SCOPE OF WORK

Millie Turner Designs (“Designer”) provides hourly, one-on-one interior design consultation sessions, either in person, by phone, or via virtual meeting.

No formal deliverables (e.g., mood boards, layouts, or detailed design documents) will be produced.

The Designer may occasionally provide follow-up emails summarising suggestions or product links.

2. CONSULTATION SERVICES
-
During each session, the Designer offers professional advice on topics including colour schemes, space planning, furniture recommendations, styling tips, and related interior design matters.

All purchase and implementation decisions (materials, contractors, etc.) are the Client’s sole responsibility.

Recommendations are based on the Client’s stated preferences, measurements, and budget. The Designer is not responsible for outcomes beyond this advice.
3. LENGTH OF CONSULTATION & OVERAGES

Consultations are scheduled in one-hour increments.
-
The Designer permits a ten (10) minute grace period beyond each hour to finalise discussions. Should the consultation extend beyond one (1) hour and ten (10) minutes, the Client shall be charged for an additional full hour, regardless of whether only fifteen (15) minutes of that subsequent hour are used.

IF the consultation concludes in less than one (1) hour, the Client is not entitled to any refund or prorated credit.
4. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurate Information: Provide accurate measurements, photos, or other relevant details for informed advice.

Testing & Verification: Obtain and test any suggested samples or finishes before making purchases.

Implementation & Coordination: The Client handles all orders, deliveries, contractors, and installations. The Designer does not supervise third parties.

Access & Fit: Confirm that recommended items will fit through doorways, stairs, or other access points. The Designer is not liable for costs related to inaccuracies or delivery issues.
5. FEES & PAYMENT

An hourly rate applies, with a 1-hour minimum. Full payment is required to secure the appointment.

If payment is not received before the scheduled appointment, the Client loses their slot and may be rebooked up to 4 weeks later, with no guarantee of the same allocated designer.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Any sketches, suggestions, or ideas shared during consultations remain the Designer’s property.
-
If the Designer provides follow-up materials, the Client receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them for personal purposes only.

Reproduction, distribution, or sale of these materials is prohibited without explicit written permission.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & DISCLAIMERS

No Guarantee of Results: Final outcomes depend on external factors (e.g., budget, contractors).

No Warranties on Third-Party Products: The Designer is not responsible for product defects, shipping delays, or vendor policies.
-
Client Accepts All Risks: The Client makes final decisions and bears any dissatisfaction or losses.
-
Access & Measurement Errors: The Designer is not liable for issues arising from inaccurate measurements or property constraints.

Maximum Liability: The Designer’s total liability cannot exceed the fees paid for the consultation. No indirect or consequential damages will be covered.
8. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

At least 5 working days’ notice is required for full cancellation.

24 hours’ notice Mon–Thu, 72hrs Fri-Sun is required to reschedule without penalty.

No Refund for Completed Sessions: Once a session has started or concluded, no refunds are offered.
-
No Refund for Cancellations Within 5 Working Days: If the Client cancels within 5 working days prior to the consultation date, no refund is available.
9. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
-
Both parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal remedies.
10. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
-
These Terms & Conditions represent the entire agreement for hourly consultation services and supersede all prior arrangements.
-
Any modifications must be agreed in writing by both parties.
